It's Been A While

Pin It Now!

Shoes - Schuh
Top - Awear
Jacket - H&M

It's been a while since I last blogged I know. I'm sorry - I started a new job a while ago and my hours are longer as is my commute so finding time to take pics of what I'm wearing everyday has proved very difficult. Now that summer is here and the days are longer I hope to be able to blog more often.
It's been a gorgeous bank holiday weekend and I managed to get an outfit together that didn't involve tights or socks. I love this denim jacket and I will be wearing it quite alot this summer. I can't wait to take out my summer wardrobe.

And It Felt Like A Kiss

Pin It Now!

I've always loved vintage clothing and jewellery and with the rise in popular TV series like Mad Men, Pan Am and Magic City popularising clothing from the 50's and 60's, more and more women are looking to add vintage pieces to their wardrobe.
I got engaged a few months ago and knew straight away that I wanted a vintage ring - luckily himself agreed to get me one! I'm a lucky girl. There's something quite special about a ring with a history to it.
Another lady who loves all things vintage is the chef Stacie Stewart, a self confessed mod. First thing you notice about her is her huge beehive hair and then her fantastic wardrobe. She just looks so chic especially in that blue dress. I'm off now to throw out all my high street clothes and heading for the nearest thrift shop.
Do you like vintage?

This was played at the end of an episode of Mad Men. Like how dark it is but with a good melody.

Christmas Wardrobe

Pin It Now!

So, it's my work Xmas party on Friday and I don't know what to wear. I've only worked there three months so I'm a bit nervous about what to wear everyday anyway.  I have a red dress that I bought in AWear similiar to the last one above but I'm thinking it might be a bit "too xmassy" to wear. And then I look at one of my favourite people, Zooey Deschanel, and I think "what the hell, definitely wear it". So, I think I just might! Aren't her Xmas outfits lovely?

For the month that's in it.  Hope you're enjoying the build up to Christmas.

Stripes Ahoy

Dress - Topshop
Top - Zara

Every October I take my winter clothes down from the attic. I love winter because I feel like I get a new wardrobe. It's also easier to dress in winter because you know it's either going to be freezing or raining whereas in summer I just end up carrying layers around with me as you never know what kind of day you'll get. This dress is pretty versatile and I will be wearing it alot more this winter I think.

Hope you're having a good week.

Hang Loose

Coat - Topshop
Dress - AWear
Boots - Penneys
Scarf - New Look

It's cold out there. I've really had to stay out of the shops lately as I wouldn't trust myself with all the lovely things to buy. I love winter because I prefer shopping for warmer clothes.

Track of the Day:   Alabama Shakes - Hang Loose

Love her voice and very cool hair.

It seems to have become very cold very quickly. We all know what this usually means - time to get a new winter coat. I can't stop myself from going into Zara these days - they're my favourite shop at the moment.  They have gorgeous stuff especially their coats - very on trend with studs, leather and lots of black, navy, grey and khaki.

I'm also loving the blazer coat which seems to be everywhere - not sure how warm this would keep you as it doesn't close in the front but it's gorgeous.

Unfortunately I will have to wait until the winter sales are on as they all seem to be pretty pricey starting from €150. However just like shoes, a girl can never have too many coats...

Nerdy Spex

Pin It Now!

For about a year I thought there was something wrong with my computer screen at work until a colleague said I should probably get my eyes tested. But I was only in my early 30's? I couldn't possibly need glasses? Well, it turns out I had one eye shaped like a rugby ball and the other like a soccer ball so I got glasses. Since it was my first pair I got a pretty plain pair - small with thin frames. They are too small for my eyes and I am sick of looking at the top of the frame so I want to get a new pair.

But...which colour to go for...tortoiseshell brown or plain black? Or should I go completely crazy and get a pair of these?

The problem with picking glasses is finding an opticians who will leave you alone long enough for you to try some on. I always find they end up handing me frames by Chanel, Tom Ford, Ray Ban and every overpriced designer in the shop. It's very frustrating. Funny enough though one of them did say black frames suited me best...I think I'm going to go for the black frames.
