All 15 of us met up at the GPO and then went off to Lush in Henry Street (we kept it real and stayed on the Northside) to hear all about their new make up range Emotional Brilliance. Here we all are: Sarah, Paula, Rosaleen, Dee, Donna, Alycia, Joanne, Eimear, Emma, Ellie, Sarah, Marian, Hannah and Claire.
Then it was onto my colour chart. It's a clever concept...you close your eyes, take a deep breath, lovely Lush helpful person spins the colour wheel, you open your eyes and pick the three colours that stand out for you.
I picked Perspective, Healthy and Fantasy. Nice colours eh? The idea is the colours you pick are meant to correspond to your mood at the time (I've recently started running so maybe that's the healthy bit?) I'd recommend going in with a few friends and having this done or do it here . It's good fun.
There must be 30 colours to choose from and there's lipsticks, eyeliners and eyeshadows and the lipsticks can also be used as cheekstain. Don't forget they're vegan friendly and don't test on animals. We left feeling uplifted, some of us *ahem* purchased some stuff and they sent us on our way with our own goody bag with a free mascara and lipstick. Very very kind of them. Thank you Lush!
Then it was off to Arnotts and the Benefit counter (we were all very excited about this too) where we met Gemma (thelippycricket.wordpress.com). You can tell Gemma loves what she does and knows her stuff. She talked us through all of Benefit's new products which you can find here. She also did a makeover on the lovely Alycia using some of the products. I have my eye on They're Real Mascara and the Porefessional (I don't have a problem with pores but this stuff is velvet in a tube).
We were starving at this stage so headed to The Church bar for yummy lunch and more chat about life, blogging, relationships, shopping and our lunch!
What a brilliant way to spend a Saturday (usually I'm cleaning or ironing or something very boring).
Thank you so much to all the bloggers for being so nice and especially to Sarah for organising such a great day. She even gave us all our own personalised goody bag that she made up herself in this gorgeous pink packaging with amazing goodies from human + kind, NYC, Inis, Obsessed Jewellery (Rachel couldn't make it), Cinema Secrets, Hair Removal Shop and a lollypop! I've honestly never seen so much in a goody bag before...xxx
Looking forward to the next meetup already! Outfit of the day post to follow...
